Controlled Atmosphere Storage Bins
by Janny MT
The Janny MT module provides a revolutionary process for fruits, vegetables, flowers and mushrooms. Made up of a rigid plastic box and a Tiempo Cap or air tight lid, this individual module stores fresh produce in a modified or controlled atmosphere. The passive diffusion of gas through the membrane of the lid creates an optimised atmosphere to extend the storage time period.
The perishable nature of fresh produce can force growers to sell when prices are low. Janny storage bins are disrupting the industry by enabling growers to maintain produce quality for longer and provide flexibility when it comes to market prices. The result is selling at the optimum time for a higher profit! Made in France by Janny MT, these storage bins defy the expected storage life of your crops by maintaining temperature, reducing relative humidity & achieving O2 / CO2 balance.

CA MODULE 610H
Janny Controlled Atmosphere bins include a lid that is clipped in place to lock in quality.
Its selective permeability membranes stabilise oxygen and CO2 levels from 1-5 per cent, using the O2 absorption of the products breathing as the engine. This decrease in oxygen compounds the reduction in respiration, to extend storage life.
Fruit must remain cold after harvest and bins must be in a cold room for best results. Once crops have been cooled to the recommended temperature, the lid must be securely fastened. The lid seal is essential for the passive diffusion of gases: attention must be paid to the seal and membranes when lids are not in use.
The monitoring of O2 & CO2 rates inside the modules is possible with a Tiempo Test (Silver or Green). The CA module 610H is used for the storage of living products that breathe.

Do I need to protect my crops?Crop protection is the smartest way to cultivate premium produce. By choosing to invest in a crop protection system, you reduce the risks that are out of your control and command control over fruit quality. Most growers who have faced crop loss due to storms prior to harvest go on to cover their crops for future years. Research is also showing that sunburn will become a major factor during the next 10-20 years and that growing class 1 fruit will depend on anti-sun netting.

What does it cost to cover my orchard and what is the return on investment? The cost of protection is invaluable when compared to losing your annual crop in a single storm. In that case, the return on investment is instant. But, the answer to this is not straight forward because there are so many factors to consider and the equation may need to be calculated over a few seasons. Factors such as the volume of class one fruit achieved from the right protection that will fetch the highest price. Add to this, the size of your block, the potential yield, the frequency of adverse weather conditions, and the cost of our services all play a role in determining the return on investment. We understand the complexity of this calculation and encourage you to get in touch with us to have a conversation about your specific needs and concerns. Our team at Inspired Ag new can work with you to tailor a solution that aligns with your goals and provides the best possible return on investment for your annual crop.
